Bottles are heavy, securely packed and shipped with required adult-signature service. Your shipping cost reflects carrier weight, distance, fuel and alcohol-compliance requirements. We do not add a markup to carrier shipping charges.
- Weight. A bottle plus a shipper built to survive the trip runs about 5 lbs. Carriers charge by weight and by distance.
- Adult signature. Someone 21 or older has to sign for every package. It is required by law and billed on every box.
- Compliance. We are a licensed retailer and we file in every state we ship to.
- Fuel. UPS resets its fuel surcharge weekly. We pass it through at cost.
