When Francis Ford Coppola build the Coppola Winery he had a vision to build a pool that would offer guests afternoons of carefree enjoyment, great food, wine and music with their friends and family. During construction people told Francis that his idea was crazy, and that people didn't want a winery with a pool. Ultimately, his innovative ways triumphed, and today the idyllic pool is one the must-visit destinations in Sonoma County. Inspired by our guests' wishes for sessionable wines to enjoy during their daytime visit, we embraced Coppola's innovative spirit and crafted Pool House. Pool House wines are crafted to deliver varietally-true, flavorful wines with lower alcohol and fewer calories. Our winemakers selected vineyards known to produce grapes with flavor intensity and then we harvested early to keep the amount of sugar naturally produced by the grape at a minimum.
