Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, has held a license to distill since 1608, making it the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery. The 21 Year Old is a prestige expression: triple distilled from 100% malted barley, aged for up to 19 years in a combination of American bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks, then finished for two additional years in Madeira wine casks.
The result is a whiskey of extraordinary depth, layered with honey, dried apricot, raisins, figs, and tropical fruit, with a long and refined finish.
