DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
Can de La Calle is an agave wine made by Melly Cardenas, who also makes La Gritona Tequila. Although this fortified wine is not commonly seen in the U.S., Melly has been making agave wine for more than 20 years. Can de La Calle is made from fermented agave juice that is fortified with Blanco Tequila distilled at Melly's distillery (NOM 1533). Lightly sweet and with a distinct agave flavor, this product is an ideal Tequila replacement for restaurants that only have a beer and wine license. The name Can de La Calle draws inspiration from the dozens of street dogs that Melly adopts and rehomes in her distillery in the Valle de Guadalupe.
