DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
A Hall of Fame Bourbon, Selected by Rollie Fingers
The Elite Edition series pairs Cooperstown Distillery's four-grain straight bourbon with baseball's legends, who personally select the barrels. This small batch was chosen by Rollie Fingers, the Hall of Fame closer famous for his handlebar mustache.
Bottled at 100 proof in a baseball decanter, it brings clove and allspice, burnt caramel and honey with a smooth, lingering finish.
Rollie Fingers won three World Series titles with Oakland, the 1981 AL MVP and Cy Young, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992.
Cooperstown Distillery is a craft farm distillery in Cooperstown, New York, the home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. It works with New York State grains and small-batch methods, and its sports decanters have become some of the most collected bottles in American craft whiskey.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Clove, allspice, subtle oak and toasted grain
- Palate: Clove, allspice, burnt caramel, butterscotch and honey
- Finish: Smooth and lingering with soft oak warmth
How to Enjoy
- Neat or with a splash of water: A few drops open up the aromatics and soften the proof.
- With one ice cube: Softens the 100 proof and brings out the caramel.
- Old Fashioned: 2 oz whiskey, 1 sugar cube, 2 dashes Angostura bitters, orange peel. Stir over a large ice cube.
- Gift it: A true collector's piece for any baseball fan.
