DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
An American Single Malt Made From 100% New York Barley
Cooperstown Select Straight American Single Malt is made from 100% New York State malted barley, aged at least two years in new American oak and finished for six months in hand-selected ex-sherry casks. It is bottled at 103 proof.
Expect praline and toasted oak on the nose, candied apple on the palate and a long burnt almond finish with a touch of sherry sweetness.
Cooperstown Distillery is a craft farm distillery in Cooperstown, New York, the home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. It works with New York State grains and small-batch methods, and its sports decanters have become some of the most collected bottles in American craft whiskey.
American single malt is one of the fastest growing categories in whiskey, and Cooperstown's sherry-finished version has collected Double Gold in New York and Gold in London.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Praline, toasted oak, malt and sherry sweetness
