A robust, full-bodied Paso Robles Cabernet from DAOU Family Estates. Dark fruit, fine-grained tannins, and 10 months in French oak make this a go-to red for steak night.

DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon is the bottle that put a lot of people onto Paso Robles. It's robust and full-bodied, loaded with dark fruit aromas and flavors and framed by fine-grained tannins that keep everything polished rather than rough. The wine spends 10 months aging in French oak, half of it new, which adds a layer of toasty structure without covering up the fruit.

It's the kind of Cabernet you can open on a Tuesday or bring to a dinner party and feel good about either way. Available by the single bottle or by the case of 12, so you can grab one for tonight or stock up for the season.

Tasting Notes

What Makes It Special

DAOU was founded by brothers Georges and Daniel Daou, who planted their family-founded winery on DAOU Mountain in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. Their goal was to prove Paso Robles could stand alongside the world's great Cabernet regions, and this bottling is the most widely poured expression of that idea. It takes the bold, ripe character of Paso Robles fruit and shapes it with careful oak aging and fine tannins, giving you a Cabernet that feels generous and polished at an everyday price.
