Evan Williams is the flagship bourbon of Heaven Hill, the family owned Kentucky distillery in Bardstown named for the man credited as one of the state's first commercial distillers in the late 1700s. This honey expression takes that bourbon backbone and blends it with natural honey liqueur, dropping the proof and the bite for something smooth, sweet, and easy drinking, with a burnished copper color in the glass.
At a gentle 65 proof, it drinks more like a dessert whiskey than a straight pour, equally at home as a chilled shot, over ice, or stirred into cider and lemonade. It is an approachable entry point for anyone who finds full strength bourbon too sharp.
