Hatozaki takes its name from the Hatozaki lighthouse, built in 1657 on the coast of Akashi Bay in Hyogo Prefecture, the oldest stone lighthouse in Japan. The whisky is made at the Kaikyo Distillery in Akashi, a coastal region long associated with fine Japanese whisky, and reflects the same clean, refined style as its namesake landmark.
It is a blend of whiskies aged in a mix of American oak, Sherry, and Mizunara casks, giving it layers of honey, light caramel, and delicate spice without overpowering the natural smoothness. Versatile enough to sip neat, enjoy over ice, or use as the base of a Highball or classic whisky cocktail.
