It starts with the same blend of straight rye whiskeys behind Rendezvous Rye, then goes into a second life in French oak barrels and port barrels. High West was founded in Park City, Utah in 2006, the first legal distillery in the state since 1870. Founder David Perkins built the house style on blending and finishing, and Midwinter Night's Dram is the clearest expression of it.
