Tokaji Aszu is Hungary's legendary botrytized dessert wine, all honey, apricot and marmalade. High West finished its blended bourbon in those casks, and the result is one of the most aromatic bottles the distillery has released.
The bourbon base keeps it from tipping into sweetness: caramel and oak underneath, honeyed stone fruit on top, bottled at a hefty 98.8 proof. Barrel Select runs are small, so this is a shelf bottle you buy when you see it.
Tasting Notes
