DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
The Full Power Version Of High West's House Style
Bottled at 119.8 proof with no water added, this cask strength straight whiskey is the most intense expression of what High West does in Park City. Concentrated oak, dark sugar and spice, with a texture that coats the glass.
High altitude maturation makes for aggressive barrel interaction, and at this proof you taste every bit of it. This is a bottle for people who measure whiskey in drops of water.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Charred oak, molasses, dark cherry and clove.
- Palate: Huge and syrupy with brown sugar, cocoa, black pepper and dry char.
- Finish: Very long, hot and drying.
How to Enjoy
- Small neat pours, sipped slowly.
- Water to taste. It changes completely at each step.
- In a barrel proof Old Fashioned with one big rock.
- Gift idea: for the friend who complains that everything is bottled too low.
