Hiram Walker traces back to 1858, when Hiram Walker founded his distillery in Windsor, Ontario, one of the oldest and largest spirits operations in North America. The Blackberry Flavored Brandy starts with a wine grape distillate base and is infused with real blackberries rather than synthetic flavoring, an approach Hiram Walker has kept across its entire liqueur lineup while plenty of competitors moved to cheaper additives.
The result reads as fresh and sun ripened rather than jammy or candied, with the brandy base doing quiet work underneath the fruit. It has been a home bar and holiday staple for generations for a simple reason: it is inexpensive, versatile, and genuinely tastes like blackberries.
