Kostritzer has been brewing Schwarzbier in Bad Köstritz, Germany since 1543, making it the original and definitive German black lager. Careful roasting of malting barley gives it a distinctive malt aroma, deep dark color, and a surprisingly smooth, balanced character. It looks like stout but drinks like a lager — easy, clean, and deeply satisfying.
