Laws Whiskey House in Denver selected these individual barrels of Four Grain Bourbon to be bottled at cask strength for their concentrated character. This is batch A-23 at 56.6% ABV, aged at least three years in heavily charred 53 gallon white oak.

The four grain mash is built on heirloom Colorado grains, and the microclimates of the San Luis Valley and the Eastern Plains show up clearly in these single barrels. Laws is a grain to glass operation, and the cask strength releases are where its house character is loudest.

• Nose: Dark caramel and cracked grain with cherry, clove and dry oak.
