Leone de Castris is one of Puglia's most historic wine estates, and the Villa Santera Primitivo di Manduria draws from the Manduria appellation in southern Puglia, an area celebrated worldwide for producing some of Italy's most richly concentrated red wines from the Primitivo grape. Intense ruby red in the glass with garnet reflections, it opens with inviting aromas of dark berries, plum, and cherry layered with spice, cocoa, and subtle vanilla.
On the palate it delivers exactly what great Primitivo promises: smooth, full-bodied, and warm, with velvety tannins and a long, satisfying finish built for the table.
