Plymouth Gin has been produced at the Black Friars Distillery in Plymouth, England since 1793, making it the oldest working gin distillery in England. The recipe uses seven botanicals including juniper, orange peel, cardamom, and coriander, balanced with soft Dartmoor water for a gin that has more earthiness and a smoother juniper hit than classic London Dry styles. It earned the title of official supplier to the British Royal Navy and has a protected style designation specific to the city of Plymouth.
