DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
Eye: A lovely light-yellow color with delightful effervescence and delicate bubbles.
Nose: Subtle aromas of spices and white fruits, complemented by citrus notes and ripe lemon.
Palate: Flavors of acacia honey, plums, and blood orange, with minerality and complexity from long aging on lees.
Founded in 1836 by Alexandre-Louis Pommery, Madame Pommery took over the House after her husband's death in 1858. She expanded Pommery’s reputation by creating wines of unparalleled quality, emphasizing the importance of exceptional grape origins. Over the years, she acquired some of the finest vineyards in Champagne, blending tradition with innovation.
Champagne Pommery is renowned for creating the first dry Champagne in 1874, known today as the Brut style. Remarkably, 92% of Champagnes are now made in this style. Clement Pierlot, the 10th Chef des Caves since 1836, is dedicated to organic viticulture and leading the conversion of all Pommery vineyards.
Today, Champagne Pommery offers a range of expressions, including the flagship Brut Royal (non-vintage), Apanage Champagnes (non-vintage, ideal for fine dining), POP Extra-Dry splits (personal-sized bottles of 187 ml, perfect for gatherings), and Cuvée Louise (a masterpiece vintage Champagne from three Grands Crus, produced only in exceptional harvest years).
