A 100% blue agave tequila out of Los Altos de Jalisco, the highlands where the agave grows slower and sweeter than it does on the valley floor. No mixto, no additives, no story about a celebrity. Just clean highland agave in a liter bottle.
Blanco, so it goes straight from the still to the bottle without time in oak. That is the point. You taste cooked agave, black pepper and a little citrus, which is exactly what you want in a margarita or a paloma where the tequila has to hold its own against lime.
The liter is the format that matters here. It is a third more tequila than a 750 for a lot less than a third more money, and if you are making drinks for more than two people you already know why that counts.
