The Blanco That Set the Standard
Herradura has been making tequila at Hacienda San Jose del Refugio since 1870 and was the first to release a 100% pure agave tequila. Herradura Silver is that heritage in its most transparent form: estate agave, natural fermentation with wild yeast, and no additives to round off the edges.
Unlike most blancos that go straight from still to bottle, Herradura rests Silver 45 days in oak. That short rest gives it a faint straw color and a softer, rounder texture while keeping the bright cooked agave character front and center. It is a mixing tequila that holds up neat.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Cooked agave, fresh herbs, black pepper and a touch of vanilla.
- Palate: Clean and full: sweet agave, citrus zest, light oak, gentle pepper.
- Finish: Crisp and peppery with lingering agave sweetness.
