W.L. Weller Single Barrel is the most individual bottling in the Weller lineup. Buffalo Trace handpicks and bottles one exceptional barrel at a time, so no two releases taste quite the same. It arrives at 97 proof and 45.5% ABV, built for the drinker who wants the nuance the aging process leaves behind rather than a blended house style.
William Larue Weller, born in 1825, spent most of his life educating the public on his first of its kind bourbon recipe using wheat in the mash bill. That gentle, mild and smooth sipping experience changed whiskey as we know it. This special release carries that tradition forward with distinct, full bodied flavor from a single cask.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Vanilla bean, honey and soft baking spice, with orchard fruit and fresh oak.
