WhistlePig Old World 12 Year is a straight rye designed to showcase how classic European wine cask finishes can add depth and elegance to bold American rye. After aging for 12 years in new American oak, the whiskey is finished and “married” from three different cask styles: Madeira (63%), Sauternes (30%), and Port (7%). The result is a layered profile that balances rye spice with richer fruit and dessert-like notes. Expect dried stone fruit, honeyed sweetness, and dark fruit tones alongside vanilla, oak, and a steady rye peppery warmth on the finish.
